ABOUT DR. MARY GIBSON

Dr. Mary Gibson is a chiropractic physician who treats humans and animals. She grew up in Catlett, Virginia, and has worked in the veterinary industry her entire life. Being raised in the industry allowed her to work alongside her mother, Dr. Lisa Gibson, and her sister, Dr. Julia Gibson, which inspired her passion for the well-being of animals and people.

She attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology in May 2019. She continued her education at Palmer College of Chiropractic – Florida Campus, where she graduated with her Doctorate in Chiropractic in December 2022.

In the summer of 2023, Dr. Gibson attended Options for Animals and successfully achieved an additional certification in animal chiropractic. She is board-certified and an active participant with the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association. Dr. Gibson believes it is a gift to work with your hands to improve the lives of all living things – human and animal. When she pursued chiropractic school, she knew she wanted to pair it with animal chiropractic to improve the lives of the four-legged patients she spent most of her life helping.

Dr. Gibson believes chiropractic is more than just adjusting the spine for lower back or neck pain. Chiropractic adjustments equip the body with the ability to heal naturally and boost the immune system, which, in turn, enhances the function of the spine, brainstem, and organs. Whether you or your pets are experiencing loss of mobility, arthritis, allergies, limping, disc-related issues, back or neck pain, or other symptoms, chiropractic care can help.

Due to her journey, Dr. Gibson has a passion for treating patients with TMD pain, as well as children and pregnant mothers. She is certified in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue, Flexion-Distraction technique, Sacral-occipital Technique, Sports Medicine, and Webster Technique. She is also a proud member of the ICPA. She is excited to offer this holistic healing method through her small business, P.O.P. Chiropractic. Her goal and mission are to provide you and your furry friends with the best care possible.
